In order to make a game playable we have to abstract the actions into input to make it playable. This abstraction has become a given or so self-evident that we don't think about it anymore.
In this project our aim was to center the input and think about button or key combinations to emulate the action of the in-game-player.
In squish the player controls two orbs inside of a malleable blob and has to collect items scattered across the screen. In order to do this the player makes use of the joysticks and triggers.
The player can hold a trigger to make an orb static and use the joystick to move around. The static mechanic is necessary because the items need to be held at the same time. If the trigger is not held the blob will move as a whole.
