This was a group project that took place during the 4 day production days module, in which we were tasked with making a remake of the flash game Squarez with a new setting and feel.
My role was producer in collaboration with a fellow student Mauro Zocco. I worked on the planning, presentations, coordination and asset implementation. In addition we were tasked with keeping the core mechanics while giving the game a new sellability.
Our approach was to ride the wave of cozy and nostalgic games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons or old flash games with bug catching mechanics. We added multiplier mechanics, different collectible types, movement patterns and a time slow ability.
